Big Island-Pacific Islander high schoolers are invited to participate in the 2019 PacYES! conference on the UH Hilo campus. PacYES! aims to motivate, inspire, and inform high school students of Pacific Island ethnicities (Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, Marshallese, Palaun, Pohnepein, Chuukese, Kosrean, Yapese, etc.) about career opportunities, college readiness, and community readiness.
The conference is planned and implemented by a Planning Committee comprising of college students, community leaders, university officials, DOE officials, Hawaii County officials, and others.
